Discussion: Would you prefer if leadership picks a day and does not give you an option, or would you prefer a choice when planning days off for the agency?
After a discussion, we moved the September 5 scheduled day off to July, and we now have July 3- July 7 as part of our new scheduled days off.
In the past, CY did not value the calendar, but now we have a deeper understanding of the importance of regular review.
Here are some benefits discussed on the benefits our team recognizes when we spend the time to review the calendar during our team meetings.
We held a moment of silence for the children who are afraid to go to school and the children and faculty who lost their lives yesterday in the aftermath of the Nashville School Shooting.
Laronda shared a conversation with Ms. Yarbrough after the Tony Robbins event.
Modeling, CY wants to encourage this to be our norm.
After the discussion, LaRonda mentioned that everything she does is modeling, and LaRonda reminds us that CY is consistently modeling. In her discussion with CY, she let her know that she is always trying to call it out and labels it (says what it is right there) so that it's clear, what the expectation is, and so hopefully, by doing that, others will know what modeling looks like.
This is our culture, guys; this is how we keep our culture: our leader does it. Claudette models. I am modeling; you model; it keeps going down the line, so I always make it a habit to let anybody working with me know. As Claudette would say, I'm modeling for you.
Claudette says, "I am naturally that way, she was born this way, and she doesn't sometimes recognize when she's doing it because it's second nature." She's glad that LaRonda sees it, and she's glad LaRonda said something, but I need everybody to start to feel comfortable saying something like that. It's something that has become a massive part of who she is. That means we're all recognizing. Here's another thing, modeling is not optional. If you want to be successful, these are things you do. Claudette is called a copycat, right, she's a copycat, but she's modeling what she's learned. This is one of our core values, and it is non-negotiable. Modeling works.
We listened to a conversation recording between Ms. Yarbrough, Ashley, and Kellen. We listened as Ashley described her growth and learning process of applying Tony Robbin's three life principles of Modeling, Total Immersion, and Spaced Repetition to make immediate changes to a flyer for the upcoming Unleash the Extraordinary You workshop.
We ended the meeting by celebrating all team members during our Caught Red Handed Moment. This week we also highlighted and celebrated Larry Jenkins for demonstrating and modeling the agency's core values of Communication, Self Employed Mentality, and Teamwork.
Announcement: Our program year will begin on September 1, 2023, as our agency transitions back to the fiscal year as the Grants no longer control us.
New ECFs for those with Por-Vida or new September 1- August 31. This year will be modified to August 30, 2023. You should not have any known changes, but we will communicate that with you if there are.
The team meeting began with calendar updates. We began with a discussion of how our learning is continuous, in other words we never stop learning. Therefore, a decision has been made that everyone will be involved in the Alamo workshop trainings. The initial Alamo workshop trainings (2) will be virtual trainings.
We discussed the state of the company's culture and climate. Don't forget where you come from. Don't forget to have gratitude. Don't assume that this is normal and take it for granted.
We are modeling after Tony Robbins by having every speaker present we will have the same messages.
Don't assume we have made it.
The team meeting on 3/20/2023 started with Brenda reviewing the week at a glance on the Calendar. The caught red handed award was then given to Treshea for demonstrating being humble and failure leads to success.
Ms. Yarbrough then discussed Tony Robbin's life principles and principles of mastery, emphasizing that everything we do is on purpose. She reviewed the 3 principles of mastery.
The first principle is modeling; find someone already getting the results you want, they don't have to be the best but should be outstanding. Modeling is one of our core values. Modeling! that's what you do, you find someone getting the results and model it. La'Ronda related the discussion to the "KISS" acronym that stands for "Keep It Simple Silly" which led to a discussion about Tony's belief that complexity is the enemy of execution.
The second principle is total immersion; where massive momentum equals immersion.
The third principle is spaced repetition; with intervals there are more reinforcements. Success equals consistency. Repetition is the mother of mastery.
The discussion led to creating messages that resemble Tony's on our communications. We will use Tony's method to offer package deals.
Ms. Yarbrough unveiled the new name for IEP: "Unleash the Extraordinary You".
The meeting was concluded with a takeaway from the question: "how are you going to use mastery in your life?" Several team members shared out their takeaways.
"What you say and do within yourself is very powerful!" -Claudette Yarbrough
The team meeting on 3/13/2023 started with the Calendar updates. After calendar updates we reviewed the TikTok video to be posted and we explained the process of shooting video at 702 for TikToks to go out Monday - Thursday and a YouTube video to go out on Fridays.
Takeaways and feedback were shared about the video. The 28 item giveaway event is to give back to the community and help those who might need clothes and are currently struggling economically.
Here’s the update on Tony Robbins Unleash the Power Event on Thursday 3/16 and Friday 3/17.
1) Those wanting to be in the training will need to do so from Ms. Yarbrough's house because the training will be tied to her computer.

Last team meeting (3/6/2023) we started by going over the calendar and had the following updates:
After going over calendar updates, we broke out into 3 different breakout rooms to start planning for our 3 separate upcoming events August 31 - September 2 that include:
Each breakout room was assigned a different event day and had 15 minutes to plan. After the 15 minute planning period we shared our planning.
The meeting was concluded by discussing the importance of having a target.
Having a target is important for several reasons:
