YES, Inc. invested $70 million of USDE funding over the past 27 years with the intent of helping educators become more effective and a goal to improve equity in local LEAS (Local Educational Agency).
YES, Inc. began it's long history of serving others with JTPA funding and a grant to serve 500 young people, the summer of 1995 proved to be a time that YES, INC. established itself as an "exemplary" program. Then in 1998, YES, INC. capitalized upon its success as a summer program to become a charter school enabling YES, INC. to continue working with young people for longer than two months during the summer.
In 2010 with five years and $13,000,000 in USDE (United States Department of Education) funding to support teachers in becoming more effective so that young people could improve their academic skills, YES, INC. officially entered the world of educator training. When the charter school was revoked in 2014 due to the passage of Senate Bill 2, after 18 years of serving students, YES, INC. continued to provide high-quality teacher training and was awarded a $54,000,000 USDE grant to continue educator training with a focus on developing Human Capital Management Systems (HCMS). Then when the focus on teacher retention became a hot topic, in 2017 YES, INC. was awarded an $8,000,000 grant to develop the Educator Effectiveness Process (EEP) pipeline.
Over the past twelve years, YES, INC. has trained over 1000 educators impacting over 7000 students, parents, and community members, and has become a premier training entity focused exclusively on helping teachers become their most effective so that their students improve academically.
YES, INC. intends to continue its mission to ensure that everyone has access to equitable professional development training, especially educators to ensure that more effective teachers remain in the field of teaching.
One of the biggest results after investing $70 Million has been the implementation of the Effective Educator Process. Learn more by clicking on the link below.
